Chris Burch Takes his Entrepreneurial Venture a Notch Higher by Building a Five-star Resort

Chris Burch is a well-established fashion tycoon associated with owning or co-owning most fashion brands, locally, and internationally. With his latest acquisition, closely watch as the established entrepreneur transfer his skills from the fashion industry to the hospitality industry.

Luxury homes located deep in the isolated islands have always been the fantasy of many successful and rich business personalities. Burch’s case was not any different from those wealthy business people when he was purchasing the beach hostel deep on the island of Sumba in the company of his hotelier friend, James McBride in 2012. Explaining his sentiments about the hotel to the Business Jet Traveler in 2015, Mr. Chris Burch was merely purchasing the place as something that he could pass down to his generation to enjoy the beautiful scenery of mother nature.

Just like everybody, he had very little expectations about his precious investment. He however, made a change of heart the moment the $30 million renovations were complete in 2015. With amazing features including, Raja Mendaka, Chris’s private home, 27 private villas, plunge pools, large indoors and outdoors entertainment areas, beautiful beach spa, surfing beaches and wellness centers, the five-star Nihiwatu hotel resort turned out to be the perfect tourist destination for anyone. Burch sentiments were quickly confirmed by Travel + Leisure as it was voted the number one hotel in the world to visit in 2016, a year after its official launch.

Nihiwatu, Burch’s five-star hotel deep at the heart of Sumba Island has proved beyond any reasonable doubts to be every tourist greatest destination. The breathtaking sceneries, beautiful antiques and the serenity of the place are key things you should always look forward to when searching a place for your next vacation.
